In November 2026, ShareWis Inc. established KYOZAI Inc., a group company dedicated to the educational content business. Kiyoshi Takahashi, a Benesse Corporation alumnus and former Director of ShareWis Inc., has returned after about seven years and been appointed Representative Director of KYOZAI.

Background
Under our mission, “Learning Pays. A lot.”, we provide WisdomBase, a platform that supports the digital transformation of training programs, seminars, and certification exams. More and more WisdomBase customers have been asking us for help creating learning materials, and for ways to bring the materials they already have to new groups of learners and to audiences overseas.
We established KYOZAI as a company dedicated to this work on the learning materials themselves. KYOZAI delivers learning materials to a wide range of learning settings, without being tied to any particular learning platform. ShareWis will continue building systems that record and prove what people learn, and together we will create more learners and more opportunities to learn.
KYOZAI’s mission and vision
Mission: Turning wisdom into learning.
The name KYOZAI comes from kyozai, the Japanese word for learning materials. KYOZAI turns the wisdom people have gained over many years into materials that can be learned widely and deeply, so that it is passed on to the next generation and understood across languages and cultures.
Vision: Becoming the editors of learning, with those who teach.
KYOZAI aims to become a content company from Japan, chosen for its use of AI and its editorial strength. It puts those who teach at the center: instructors and experts, people who run corporate training, and teachers in schools and vocational training. Using AI as a tool, KYOZAI applies editorial judgment, deciding what to select and how to connect it, to create learning materials that are chosen in every learning setting.
Businesses
- Content business: KYOZAI provides learning materials for training and e-learning, both by licensing existing content and by creating new materials. Business courses by well-known instructors and popular courses from training companies in fields such as AI, IT, and manufacturing are offered as an unlimited-access plan of about 1,000 courses or as industry-specific courses.
- Overseas business: KYOZAI brings learning materials refined in Japan to the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region, centered on Morocco, and to ASEAN countries, starting with Thailand.
- Instructor production business: KYOZAI turns the expertise of instructors and training organizations into learning materials that reach more learners. An AI tool for creating learning materials, built specifically for instructors, is also in preparation.
Comments from the representatives
Kiyoshi Takahashi, Representative Director, KYOZAI Inc.
After 17 years at Benesse, where I worked on everything from marketing and editing to EdTech business development, I joined ShareWis in its startup days. There were hard times, but it was a good adventure. Part of me still wished I could have grown ShareWis further alongside Tsujikawa, and over the following seven years I kept learning and building experience. Now I am excited to make a fresh start as part of the ShareWis group, which has grown far larger since then, and as the head of KYOZAI. ShareWis works with learners and learning data, building a Proof-of-Skill Economy and a platform business. KYOZAI puts those who teach at its center and uses AI and editing to deliver educational content in Japan and overseas. Through the synergy between the two companies, we will broaden and deepen learning in Japan and around the world.
Tomoki Tsujikawa, Representative Director, ShareWis Inc.
Takahashi set up our Tokyo office in ShareWis’s startup days and got through the hard times with us. After seven years of building experience in our separate places, I am truly glad that we are working toward the same goal again. Under our mission, “Learning Pays. A lot.”, ShareWis has been building systems that record and prove what people learn. For learning to pay off, people first need good learning materials that make them want to learn. I am confident in entrusting that work to Takahashi, who has long experience creating learning materials and launching education businesses. ShareWis proves what people learn, and KYOZAI creates what they learn. Together, we will create more learners and more opportunities to learn.
